Regardless of what the calendar says, if it looks like spring, green grasses, trees sprouting new growth and wildflowers making a start at a good show and if it feels like Spring, sunny with daytime temps in the mid to upper 70's with a nice cool breeze, well then I'm calling it - SPRING HAS SPRUNG!
Had a great hike this morning on a few of the trails in the Rancho Canada del Oro OSP (with a brief incursion into Calero Co. Park). It was great with water flowing in the major streams and still in some of the small tributaries. Not quite as much mud as last week but a few spots here and there.
Lot's of people were out taking advantage of the great weather and beautiful, green and wildflower spotted scenery (well lot's by the standards of the number of people usually out mid week).
If my flowery praise (pun completely intended ;) was not enough to get you out here's a couple snapshots I took. You can see a bunch more of my photos on my photo site at www.LCPhoto.SmugMug.com. Go to the "Hiking the Bay Area" section and look for "Trail Updates" to see all of my most recent hiking photos.
As always, see you on the trail (really, get out there, just do it, now, go. You'll thank me.)
